Embah returned to Allah late last night after 3 days on life support. Allah must have answered our prayers; to make Embah’s journey to retun to Allah smoothly. We all prayed that he need not suffer any longer. We believe this is what best for him. Embah inspired me in so many ways. He sold off his motorbike so my dad could proceed with his Pilot course back in 197o’s. I remember him telling me this story again and again. He sent off my dad at Singapore for his Pilot course in Australia. On the way back home he saw newspaper selling, the front page was ” Penoreh Getah Umpama Menang Loteri” It was an article on him (penoreh getah) whose son is pursuing a pilot course where the article consider this as a jackpot for him. He told me he regret no keeping the article. “masa tu tak tepiki pun nak simpan” – err, i think he didn’t buy it sbb that would cost him money. So baca kat situ jer. (anyone know anywhere i can get myself to the national archive to get this newspaper if i were to have the date?). I will always remember what my dad said “we won’t be here if it is not bcoz of Embah”
During study years, everytime nak exam wajib telefon embah mintaq tolong doakan sekali =)
The last time he came here, we were talking about his hasil kelapa sawit and all. hArith can clearly call him Embah, he was so happy of that.
He is so hAppy that hArith luvs playing with him. He will start telling me that other cucu are not close with him n play like how hArith does. I can clearly picture hArith jumping on the bed while he look upon.
I’m glad all of us made it back to kampung this year. it is not easy to get all the pilot off at the same time. Little did i know, that would be the first an last time Embah seeing his great grandchildren playing around in his compound
Memories of Embah will remain forever,and yes he has left his mark pemanently at his kampung.
In fact, the last time he came here, he told me die dah buat blk lorong tu betul2, letak batu2 and all so musim hujan senang kereta nak masuk…tak tesangkut coz tanah lembut. I guess he knew his time will come tu die kate nak buat jalan biar senang org ramai nak masuk…
We will now only be going back to Lorong Haji Badri, not Haji Badri himself…

dear,i think ur embah jual his motorbike bukan sahaja dpt sorang saja pilot,tp dpt beribu lg (ur father was one of the interviewer kan for pilot’s recruitment?)and my husband is one of them.

i lost 3 family members this year. 1st is my dad (march), 2nd is my grandmother (my dad’s mom) in oct and 3rd is my auntie (my dad’s sis) this month, dec.
