The death cases for H1N1 is increasing and everywhere people talking and writting about it. I have people asking me bout my experience and opinion. Well i sure do have lots to say…hihi
At the early stage government tried to qurantine those with the virus (we fall under this category)…but here’s the thing…the virus is very very “smart”. Here’s a brief history how we got the virus. syauQi came back from Hong Kong on the 1st July. He didn’t even go to the city, he was at the airport hotel for one nite. Went out around airport area to get his meal. When he returned home, he was perfectly well. Only on the 4th July he felt lethargic, suspected due to lack of sleep. But the following day…started having fever and body aching. Thus went to PPUM to get swab test on the 5th and result came out on the 6th being H1N1 positive.
When he went for the swab test…not everyone with the symptom would be tested, but he got his tested since he clearly said he got back from Hong Kong. So here’s the thing…between the 1st and 5th July…he met sooooo many people, there’s when the smart virus would spread around. So among the unlucky ones were us, the family members!
And between those dates obviously syauQi ade lepak with people kn. One of our friends called us up saying she had the same symptom. Immediately, she took panadol for her fever before going to Sg Buloh to get the swab test done. But once arrived, they refused to do swab test on her coz she didnt have fever. (even after thousand time explaining that she took panadol before she left the house and pointed out that she was in contact with H1N1 positive patience) Yet they still refused to do the test, did dengue test on her instead!!! Deangue test showed negative, they asked her to go treatment for her fever if she’s not well. Off she went to D’sara specialist but was asked to return back to Sg Buloh since she had H1N1 symptom. By now dah late night, almost 11:30pm. Finally they did the swab test. Result didn’t come out the next day since she did the test late night. Was send home (and of coz encountered with other family members). Then, mother and nephew (baby) lak showed symptom of H1N1…they went to do the swab test. And next day…all 3 was confirmed positive! Padahal awal2 dh kate nk buat swab test sbb was in contact with us…gi gatal lah pulak hosp suruh buat deangue test!?
And funny thing was, they said ambulance will come and fetch them. Once all three reached hospital. They said kena buat balik the swab test on the baby and her mother…and was send home again, sebab result aritu mix up or something like tat. They next day, yes they were again confirmed positive. Tak ke biul tu? But by then, they have stop quarantine people at the hospital…so was given medication and be quarantine at home.
Yes, im sure hospital have reasons y they refused to take swab test on everyone unless they fall under serius category i.e pregnant lady, babies, heart problem etc. Their reason was that 50% of those kena this virus would heal by themselves….just like any other flu. BUTTTTT dont they realise by not treating these people…these people will be walking around everywhere and the virus akan kena lah kpd those serious category…babies, oldies n preggies? Some might say we should just stay home then…but if we didnt do the test, how do we tell our employer that we need to be quarantine coz being H1N1 positive??
Take my case for example, if they were to apply the rule..(unless a person showed 3 or more symptom baru lah nk buat the swab test…i would be a H1N1 carrier moving around! )Coz i only had extremely mild sore troat and slight fever. Seriously, i wasnt even aware i had fever until they took my tempreture. And like i said, along the way i might have bump into those babies, oldies and preggies isn’t it?
Tapi sebab mase we all kena..it was baru2 lagi. so since syauQi kena..all of us followed the ambulance that came to fetch him and get ourselves tested since my kids sume demam…
tulah pasal kan…if they treated dgn betul2 since awal2 lagi, maybe kita boleh prevent all this spreading…skrg since kerabat pahang dah kena 5 beranak, baru lah ada kesedaran…
seriously, i mmg takut nak pergi tempat ramai2 ni, even haritu pergi tesco terus jer rasa mcm susah nak nafas…hihihi…i ni mmg psycho sikit bab penyakit ni :)…especially both of us mmg ada history asthmatic in fact raya last year i kena mild radang paru2 (it just sbb kat rumah nenek si suami tu banyak giler carpet)…
i mmg pakai mask keluar, tapi bila tgk semua org mcm takder kesedaran jer, i rasa 5% jer yg pakai mask…what if among them tu dah infected, tp tak tau jer lagi kan…
hemmm..marilah kita sama2 berdoa supaya kita semua tak terkena jangkitan ni…

they should have some sort of system lah utk treat ILI and H1N1 nih..tgk yg byk mati, lps dah mati baru nak confirm its H1N1..

my hubby kata, gomen xkan isytihar darurat, unless ada KEMATIAN dr pihak VVIP.. so la nie VVIP BARU KENE h1n1, so belum mati la.. kalau depa mati, baru la ada darurat…
sorry bahasa kasar, tp itu la kenyataan…
nie lg 1, ofismate i kata org gomen ada nak p US utk matrade (ke ape, dah lupa).. dah terang²an kat kuar negara.. so sah2 depa akan kena… hmm,.. balik mesia bwk penyakit… bagus la sgt!!! dah tu, siap dlm itenarary nak p shopping 1 hari… lg la syok.. bwk balik penyakit & mhabiskan duit rakyat…
huh.. ttiba emo la pulak.. (x sedar diri, mother i pun kat bandung nie… huhu.. tp nak wat mcm mana.. dia bekerja…)

Muni, baca my latest entry…mmg hospital will not simply do the swab due to certain reasons. satu lagi time H1N1 tu byk penyakit lain dtg sama spt dengue and jerebu!
and the test was not conducted at the hospital itself coz’ they don’t have specialist time to conduct the test. they sent out ot IMR, KL! only this week, they’ve been instructed to learn and conduct themselves.

but i still dont think they should refused to take the swab test..do they hv a really valid reason? brapa ramai org dah, they refused to do swab test and ended up mmg positive..meanwhile tu dah ramai org they meet around…kan ke lagi out of control nanti…
yes i know, they test not conducted kt hosp itself..tp kenapa baru skrang they been instructed to learn and conduct themselves…after dh byk baru nk kabut ajar conduct sendiri.

i just don’t know until when the gov gonna wait to declare something… i dah la pregger now… risau giler… so my hubby dah kenakan perintah berkurung… tak boleh pegi mana2 except for office… the same goes to my son… nasib baik office baik hati provide parking space for me in the building itself… klu tidak kene lalu KL Sentral hari2… pengsan….

memang takdak system. they claimed 50% people infected will heal by themselves, then what about the other 50%, kalau tak dapat treatment, just leave them to die??? is that what the government sedang berusaha untuk buat?
Time nak kutip CUKAI pandaaaaaaaaiii, cukai kena bayar cukai ni kena bayar, untuk sapa tu semua? bukan untuk kegunaan rakyat jugak ka???

on the other hand, tapi my hubby pegi giant pakai mask, everyone was trying to avoid him. maybe they thought he’s got H1N1 kot. hah
btw, just wanna share what i saw on TV this morning. kalau nak beli mask, buy the N95 instead of surgical mask..it’ll filter all those minute particles insyaAllah.

ai terpanggil nak berkongsi pengalaman yang berlaku dalam keluarga kami sendiri.
my sister antara yang paling awal disyaki positif H1N1 sekitar jun.tak silap ai pada hari ketiga dihebahkan wabak tu menular di Malaysia dan baru dua sekolah ke yang ditutup.tapi adik ai memang takde pegi oversea pun,cuma ulang-alik pegi keja naik lrt.antara hentian lrt ialah bandar tasik selatan right?di mana ERL pun akan stop kat situ.yang naik ERL dah tentu orang-orang yang berkenaan dengan urusan ke KLIA.
ai bawak dia pegi klinik kerajaan pada pagi tu.sampai-sampai pakcik jaga tanya “baru balik dari oversea ke?”,adik ai kata “tak”.pastu ada MA datang pulak tanya lagi benda yang sama,adik ai kata tak.berjam-jam kami tunggu.seems that diorang tak amik heran pun kalau patient tu bukannya balik dari luar negara.memang laa the symptoms kan sama je ngan demam selesema tapi kenapa memilih pesakit pulak?
lepas tu,pakcik jaga suruh pegi belakang klinik,ada temporary cabin diorang utilise jadi klinik khusus untuk pesakit yang baru balik oversea dengan simptom-simptom demam.dah naik lenguh sampai habis paper ai baca,baru doktor datang.lagi sekali dia tanya — “baru balik oversea ke?”,ai mulalaa meradang.takde possibility ke jangkitan tempatan boleh berlaku sebab yg disahkan ada virus tu kan lepas berapa hari dia balik,surely dah berjalan merata-rata turun naik lrt ERL semua baru konfem dia dapat H1N1 kan?ai kata,”kami salah tempat ke?kalau bukan kerana bimbangkan penyakit ni takde sebablaa nak tercanguk lama-lama kat klinik ni.” doktor tu pandang kat ai,then dia isi laa prescription gitu-gini,takde buat apa swab test pun cuma bagi ubat demam biasa je!dia kata after 3days kalau still tak baik baru pegi kuarantinkan diri terus ke hosp. sg. buloh.
but of course,keadaan adik ai makin teruk.badan lemah,hidung berair sepanjang masa dengan sesak nafas.kebetulan family kami pengguna produk ECPi.after two days my mom tak sampai hati,we decided to take her to ECPi cllinic nearby.kat situ dia ambik darah sikit,rambut,air liur dan air kencing dan buatkan ubat dengan DNA daripada sampel yg kita bagi tadi.Alhamdulillah,dua hari lepas tu dia pulih sepenuhnya.ubat doktor semua tolak tepi.cuma continue minum air ECPi.
semalam anak sedara ai pulak ada tanda-tanda demam yg seakan my sis kena,we straight away bawak dia pegi klinik ECPi.sepanjang malam tadi memang dia melepek habis.tapi after 3 dose of the medication,this morning basically dia dah cergas cuma badan dia masih hangat dan ada batuk berkahak sikit.ai ada put up gambar-gambar masa kami pergi klinik semalam di blog.
i’m here not to promote the product,cuma berkongsi kebaikan dan keberkesanannya dalam keluarga kami.tak salah kan mungkin boleh sama-sama kita ambil maklum dan setidaknya kita ada alternatif lain selain mengharapkan ubat doktor.lagipun ECPi dijamin oleh majlis perubatan elektronik malaysia,dan ada doktor bertauliah untuk memberi rawatan serta perhatian susulan sebaik kita mengambil ubatan mereka.
InsyaAllah,semua penyakit tentu ada ubatnya.saya suka nak berkongsi kebaikan ini dengan pembaca semua sebab ia dah berlaku dalam keluarga kami.

oh ya,excited sangat bercerita — kan masa mula-mula pegi klinik kerajaan nak check tu doktor malas layan sebab dia bajet yang baru balik oversea je akan suspected H1N1?ai rasa esoknya dah keluar dalam suratkhabar mengenai kes jangkitan tempatan pertama.
serius doktor tu harus tepuk kepala tak buat swab test betul-betul kat adik ai.

mm.. i work in medical ward, treating more and more suspected H1N1 and confirmed case.
when the outbreak first start, we admit and quarantine, but in very short time, the tamiflu (antivirus) treatment already short, because it was use in ALL OVER THE WORLD, then later it spread so fast because infective period is even 1 day before fever, THEN we get more medication so we started to give to patient but quarantine at home because hospital already overflow , this time we limit throat swab to those admitted sahaja, because TOO MANY SAMPLES, our IMR (the one that doo the test) cannot cope, result all back late (when we call to trace result inpatient, they unable to do because in their queue 100++ samples from patient admitted to ICU need to be done first (as urgent).. so.. i hope that explained a bit 🙂

Ish ish ish.. kecoh bebenor ehh H1N1 nih. Actually tak boleh salahkan hosp k’jaan. Sebab kes nih banyak…nak2 yang ILI. jadi dorang memang kene screen patients betol2.. yang serius akan dapat katil lah kat hosp. Skang private hosp dah mula amik H1N1 patients sbb gvrmnt hosp tak mampu nak tampung H1N1 patients yang tumbuh bak cendawan selepas hujan.
Instead of blaming grmnt hosp, baik kite blame k’jaan Malaysia. Sebab kempen kesedaran tentang bahayanya virus Influenza A H1N1 ini, macam ala kadar aje. Cuba buat betul2..kasi nampak serius sket. Sure org ramai pun akan lebih aware tentang virus nih, cara merebak, prevention and all.
Influenza A H1N1 bukanlah swine flu cam yang memula dulu kita diberitahu. Ini virus baru, virus punya genetik pun berbeza daripada other Influenza viruses like brid flu,human flu or swine flu. Memula dulu dikatakan swine flu sebab symptoms nya sama, virusnya seakan-akan sama. Selepas more research and test do on the virus (sbb nak wat vaccine), baru lah scientists realized that this one is a new virus. Tidak mampu disinfect walaupun guna Kaspersky Internet Security 2010.
