Cod Liver Oil

By on December 30, 2009

Well i guess Cod Liver Oil seems to be rather essential supplement for all of us regardless of age. If you could recall during your pregnancy, surely the doctor prescribe this supplement. I remembered taking Neurogain when i was pregnant. And during my childhood my mom made all of us makan Seven Seas Cod Liver Oil

And now, for my kids…since they can’t swallow tablets, i’m giving them Scott Emulsion.  Well, i know not all of u love reading long articles, so i wouldnt write long article of it but those who love to know more of it, u can simply google up Benefits of Omega 3 fish oil and you’ll get endless list of the benefits. If you are too lazy to google up u can just go here http://healthyomega3.com/

Recently Mrs Imran told me of this article

Picture-2-e1262028206774

at first i wasnt really impress, coz for me i feel tat what the kids know solely depends on his interest n wat being exposed. if anak tu tetiap hari dh nmpak keta tu sure lah die ingat. cam hArith, coz often being exposed with animals he recognizes lots of animals n can even imitate how the animals walk / sounds. but then again, on cars i never taught him on it by tru observation he could recognize all family members’ and skoolmates car. Only that he wont say the name of the car but by the name of the person who rides/ drives it. Perhaps if i start telling him the name of the car and associate it with the person who rides / drives it…he will b able to know it anytime soon.

But then suddenly it strike me “oh ya, my kids been getting cod liver oil since 1 year old too (scott emulsion)” perhaps that explains the  perfomance of his memory ability. The fact that my kids were once less than 1kg and now showing such great progress, we never fail to say al-hamdulillah. They had problem with their lung, pneumonia but alhamdulillah they are now healthy with great immune system to play everywhere including the drain n bushes. but of coz every once in awhile they cant escape from getting flu.

Now that i really believe in USANA, i’ve decided to give USANA Biomega to my kids! How? They can’t swallow the tablet. I poke a hole at the bullet tablet n put it in their milk. At first i was afraid mende tu hanyir n they can detect the different taste in their milk, but i’m happy to know that they drank their milk as per normal yesterday!

Those who wish to place order of the Biomega, u can email me munirahpunye@yahoo.com. It is RM83 for a bottle of 12o tablets. Postage will be on me =)

It is not just for ur child, but can be for ur baby you are carrying (pregnant) or even for you, as ur daily supplement. Yes, I’m taking it too.

Oh, we stop taking Seven Seas sbb they use beef gelatin and the product takde tanda halal. USANA surely ade cert halal =)

So now i’ve started taking proflavanol and biomega ( on top of my essential n procosa). looking fwd to a healthier me in 2010! insyaAllah. n do u know they have chrmical free facial product range?

Another One Night Trip

By on December 28, 2009

After the trip back to Lorong Haji Badri over the weekend, we made last min decision to make another one nite trip to Kuantan on Tuesday. Parents-in-law had to go there for work purposes, and we decided to join them there. I always love Hyatt Kuantan. The place is strategically located, its by the beach, the swimming pool is nice and most importantly food is soo convinient if we want other than the hotel food. The have few hawkers by the beach and the last time we came here, they only have McD, but now they also have KFC. That’s so convinient for my kids, mash patato! =) I really love this place. And best of all it is only 2 hours drive. I think 2 hours drive is just ideal for my kids. Coz i notice, if we balik Penang or Pontian my kids will be restless halfway the journey, which is after 2 hours. So after this, if nk plan for any trip..kena cari yg 2 hours drive.

Err, can’t remember what time we reached the place. After lazing around in the room for awhile..we decided to head to the beach before hujan turun coz it looked rather gloomy. hArith was simply amazed and stunned to see such a big “sand pit” a never ending sand pit!

e

The wave was really rough, it really did scare athirAh. Sbb die takut, she doesnt allow anyone else into the sea as well. Org lain masuk, die yg nangis.

d8

athirAh then pulled syauQi’s hand, and walk towards the pool. She was really scared with the wave. Mmg the wave was really really rough actually. While syauQi brought athirAh to the pool, my bro went for a dip in the sea and my two boys played with the sand with my sis-inlaw. (syauqi’s sister)

Curious Kids Need to be Tough Inside

By on December 24, 2009

If you’ve been reading my blog, maybe you might have notice that i love allowing my kids to explore their surrounding. I gave them freedom in doing so, with minimal supervision. I often notice that, most parents will give me a kind of “look” when they see my kids doing those kind of activities. I often ignore those parents. What’s important for me is that my kids benefit from such activities as it helps their development progress, and of coz they have FUN! Do you know that my kids walk at the mall bare footed more often than wearing shoes. Yes, if u spot 3 lil rascals roaming around One Utama without shoes, they could be mine =)

I believe kids are bunch of curious people. So why not let them feed their curiosity by exploring their surrounding?

Here are among the great activities that my kids have been doing and i’m pretty sure most parents will stare at me for allowing them…but on the other hand, my kids would stare at other kids saying in their heart “why are u just looking, dont u know how to have fun?”

Set them free to feed their curiosity,
susu1

I encourage them to go further instead of setting boundaries, allow them to explore,

susu12

i believe it is good for their sensory development, to let them feel different texture, such as grass…

friso9

susu14

Dont u think, they genuinely look that they are having so much fun, laughing away? so why stop them?

susu17

As i said before, i dont set boundaries..let them feed their curiosity

susu15

susu10

Well, the developmental benefits of sand play for children are endless, but not all parents would allow their kids to get dirty with sands fear of germs and bacteria. But they can learn so much with the sand, motor skill, stimulate the development of children’s language, their make believe play skills and indirectly they will also learn mathematical concept such as equivalency, unit of measurement and conservation of volume. I wouldnt want to stop my kids from having such developmental fun just because fear of germs.

susu4

Since we are living in the city, kids are missing out the fun of playing at the river / anak sungai. So why not let them have fun with a river substitute?

susu2susu11

Don’t u want ur child to be a creative person? So why stop them from having fun painting?

friso (2)

friso2

Have u ever experience this? Your child always wanted to put things in their mouth. But just before that happen, you will stop him. And it ended up being an over ending situation…ur child will pick it up and try to bite /taste it when u are out of his or her side. and from far u’ll be screaming “nooooo, don’tttt DIRTY!!!” but kids are curious. They insist of tasting it aight?

susu3

Often, parents would stop their kids from getting close to pets…

friso8

Can’t afford a swimming pool at home? How about a splash and dip at the rain water collected at the kampung? It is as fun as swimming pool!

friso3

Or how about having fun under the rain?

susu7

And what about gardening?

susu8

Yes, most parents must be thinking that i’m out of my mind. But hey, i’m not torturing them…i’m allowing them to have fun at no charge! i need not pay for expensive toys but just set them free to explore the surrounding.  The bottom line is that they have FUN and FEED their CURIOSITY. I have no worries coz my kids are TOUGH INSIDE! Their milk is very important in raising tough kids to build great immune system. And I also believe by slowly exposing them bit by bit to such surrounding…they are equiped with better immune system as the body ready for such environment. Thus i now have no problem placing them anywhere =)

bl

run

Yes, i definitely hv bunch of hAppy kids! All well protected, tough inside n out to feed their curiosity =)

friso12a

susu19

friso

That makes us  ONE HAPPY FAMILY =)

Isn’t that amazing how from a premature babies, they have now grown to be such strong and healthy kids, alhamdulillah.

friso

friso-1

Doesn’t this proove that they have such great immune system , they managed to fight for their life, now  grown up and do so much activities that other parents n kids would only stare at? =)

If u wish to let your children enjoy life just like my kids, provide them the with Friso for their daily milk supply. It has P2 Dual system and contains essential nutrient that aid a growing child’s overall development

“With Friso Gold Frisoshield P2 Dual System™, you can allow your child to explore his world and at the same time, giving you peace of mind at work.”

and of coz, besides milk. hygiene is very important. I’ll make sure they wash their hand thoroughly after every activity and scrub them well went they take their bath.

and also, they take their daily supplement of Vitamin c and Cod Liver Oil . Fruits is always included in their daily diet too.
